I like to go "see the sights" everywhere but when it comes to enjoying a single spot you can hardly beat our own MN lakes in the summertime.

The Black Hills are also beautiful.

Smile Charleston, south carolina

I guess I am biased! Vacationed in Charleston for three years back in the mid 1990s and then made a permanent relocation in 1998. Voted by Traveller Magazine as #1 U.S destination for the past 7-years and in 3rd place as an International destination (ahead of Paris!!)

It all depends on what you are seeking and your age also plays into that. Fortunately, for those under 25 check out Charleston's lively downtown. Family-friendly with plenty to do and see for the kids ranging from the area beaches, probably the best Aquarium on the Eastern seaboard. History buffs are attracted due to Charleston's multi-Century heritage and the well-preserved downtown area with it's horse-drawn carriages and even some remaining cobble-stoned alleys. "Foodies" come in droves, due to the incredibly high level of culinary excellence which now exceeds that of New Orleans!

Aside from that... Charleston is multi-cultural, welcoming and friendly and a great "gateway" for exploring South Carolina's famous coastal Lowcountry, the Barrier Islands, the Edisto Ace Basin and the rich Gullah-Geechee heritage that extends from Charleston all the way down the coast to Beaufort, Dafuskie Island and into Savannah GA.

From a rich history and into a very bright economic present and future with the ever expanding and massive BOEING "DREAMLINER" Plant, VOLVO's almost completed auto assembly Plant their first in N. America, the Daimler-Benz "Sprintliner" Plant and a host of hi-tech./IT businesses including a Google Campus.

Little wonder that 40 people PER day and relocating into the Charleston area from the N.E., from the Upper Ohio Valley and even from the S.W. and California.

World Class health and medical infrastructure anchored by the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and The Roper/St.Francis Hospital.

In addition, the Charleston area and surrounding Counties have become magnet for retirees and those seeking to buy or build a primary residence or a second home. I meet many of those folks in my primary role as a
home construction consultant along with a sensitive understanding of those requiring Adaptive Living Solutions.

Little wonder that annual Charleston County residential real estate appreciation has seen an average 9%
increase each year since 2013 with a present resale inventory of LESS than four months supply.

I am building a new 2,000 sq.ft home for a client and cost-to-build vs. future finished value means that my client already has EQUITY in their pocket!

New York City was probably my favorite.
Pretty much anywhere in Hawaii.
Zion National Park, North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and St George UT.
Savannah is gorgeous and full of personality.
Stopped in St. Augustine once and I'd love to go back there. Gorgeous beach.
Blue Ridge Parkway.
Asheville NC.
La Jolla CA.

Ogunquit and coastal Maine. It was interesting to see how many others had listed Maine.
