San Rafael Swell, Utah for rock art, The Wedge Overlook, scenery
Ghost Towns and rockhounding in Nevada
Oregon Coast for the Pacific Ocean and agates
Oregon waterfalls along Hwy 138 east of Roseburg
Sierra Nevada area along Hwy 395
Western Wyoming: Pinedale and Lander areas
Bryce and Zion N P
Southeastern Utah: Valley of the God, Moki Dugway, Bears Ears
Idaho: Salmon, Challis and Stanley areas

Hawaii was my favorite place for most of my life. When I retired I moved to Maui (3 years ago). It is still my favorite place.
When I vacation I go to California, Las Vegas, and various spots around the world. This year I've been to Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Germany, Finland, and Russia. Last year I went to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
Maui is still the best!

DC. Can't get enough of the museums on the Mall and elsewhere in the District. I like the National Zoo, too. I used to live in DC/VA.

NYC. Always something to do. And New Yorkers are generally pretty decent under their gruff exterior.

Any of the Disney parks.

Grand Canyon South Rim at the end of the day after the tourist buses are gone and before they arrive in the morning, while staying at the El Tovar.

I actually like Las Vegas -- there are exciting things happening there, especially around downtown. And I don't gamble. I'm a bit of a LV history buff. Looking forward to seeing the National Atomic Test Museum on the next trip. (Hate walking on the Strip, though. It's grungy and there are too many people.)
