What was your personal experience with United? Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet/animal.

I knew something wasn't quite right when the seatbelt was a rope!

I have flown on a lot of Airlines and really can't think of any that have been horrible. Some are now out of business or have merged. I guess the one I dislike the most is U.S. Air. I am not a fan of Alligent either but have to say, the price is right and they fly into places, direct flights from here, some airlines do not. For us to get to Orlando for instance on most lines we have to fly from here to Dallas, change planes and often have a long lay over. On allegent we can go direct and it is only about a 2 hour flight.

Personally, I've never had a problem with any of the legacy airlines or Southwest. I'm not one to dislike an airline just because popular opinion or social media tell me I should.

I have no desire to fly on the budget airlines like Spirit and Allegiant.

Air China 30 years ago, flights in interior China.. It was a very old Aeroflot plane where many of the flip down tables had broken off and some seat belts were missing. ALL signage was in Russian. They still allowed smoking and passengers took their cigarettes into the bathrooms. They stamped out their butts on the floors in the aisle and at their seats. The pilot area was open door most of the flight, and both the captain and copilot had cigarettes dangling from their lips throughout the flight.

Frightening.

Alternatively, the best flights I've ever had were years ago on Korean Air. Even better than the famed service on Emerites and Cathay Pacific. The food (Korean, please) was even good!

Nah, I've never flown anything so bad that resulted in a boycott. If the price is right, and the route / flight times are within my criteria, I'll fly. The only exception is when I know ahead of time that an airline has bad safety record - then I'll simply avoid said airline.
