I have done I-95 from all the way north and south, as well as I-80 and I-70 east to west and back again.

I would like to do I-10 east to west: after traveling on state roads up the western coast of Florida, starting from Pensacola out on the Phoenix, then take I-17 north to Sedona and state roads out to the Grand Canyon.

I want to see Hawaii, Zion and Bryce National Parks, and Mt. Saint Helens and Crater Lake National Park. One of these days...

I've been to every state, major city, national park, and everything in between except Alaska and that's on the list for next year.

But places I love going back to include;

Colorado mountains
Jackson Hole
Washington wine country
New Orleans

I don't overly get the fascination with Hawaii.. Sure, it's nice.. I'm not a beach person, so.. That may have something to do with it.. I enjoyed going out there when I did.. But.. I have no real interest in returning. The 8 to 10 hour plane ride is not really something I want to repeat.

Charleston and Savannah i've seen mentioned several times.. Beautiful cities. Been.. And.. again.. Not sure i'd really want to go back. Not because they're bad.. Just.. Been there, done that.

Washington DC.. I just got back from.. Used to live there.. I could go back often because there's just so much to do and see.. History fascinates me.

Asheville.. Oh, that's great in the fall.. I wouldn't bother going up to Gatlinburg again, tho.

Boston, I've only been to traveling through.. I think the whole NE area could be very interesting.

Philly.. I've been there for work. Could be interesting to spend more time there.

Iowa.. Des Moines, specifically.. my dad lives up there.. I'm going up this weekend.. Iowa State Fair and there's some Corn festival.. It's actually nice in small doses.

Vegas.. Been twice. I enjoyed it. Really did. And I don't gamble. Not a place i'd go every year or anything, but..

Yellowstone is on my bucket list.

Northern New England
Boston
NYC
Philly
Baltimore/DC - I've been to, but it has been awhile. Wouldn't mind seeing again.

There really isn't anything west of the Appalachians or north of the Potomac that I have any desire to visit.

I am surprised at the people posting "Mackinac Island". I didn't know anybody outside of Michigan, or at least the Great lakes region even knew about this place. And in Michigan, I think the general consensus is that it is cheesy and touristy. Kind of like Gatlinburg.
