Malaysia My second home website.

Malaysia My Second Home Official Portal - MM2H Official Portal

Several friends enjoy it, some have left. (petty crime, and police / political corruption is biggest complaint)

Thanks. Having been to Malaysia a few times, it never attracted me as a place to retire. Probably why I never looked into it.

There are a lot of Aussies heading to Thailand for senior care. The cost of care is much lower in Thai cities than in Austrakia,

I think the food in Thailand is much better than Indonesia, but that's why taste preference can't be wrong = everyone can have their own. I don't believe food in Indonesia is cheaper though, at least from our experience Myanmar was the only country where food was cheaper than Thailand.

Definitely agree that In terms of natural beauty Indonesia (and Philippines) is easily ahead of Thailand, not even close IMO.

Malaysia makes for a great vacation man. You can easily spend months covering all the good stuff on both peninsula and Borneo.

Australia is ridiculously expensive. Going to Thailand is much cheaper than doing it domestically for Aussies.

I think Bali is the default Aussie place since it's much closer than Thailand, we've met many an Aussie who had come out Friday after work for a weekend.

1) do you have Healthcare where you plan to retire? If so... then you are luckier than most. Be grateful.
2) Malaysia can be one of several low cost options for medical refugees from USA. (including millions of retirees)

Australia is CHEAP compared to USA (healthcare)
We bought prescriptions in Australia and shipped back to USA for far cheaper than buying in USA. (Much less expensive elsewhere too... (Greece!))
