Would you have a problem with a naked roommate in your hotel room? A friend of mine made a big deal about her roommate running around the hotel room naked. What do you think about this?

It would make me uncomfortable, but that's just me. LOL. I believe in bathrobes.

Reminds me of some colleagues who went to a couple of conferences and shared a hotel room. One colleague told us how the other was naked a LOT - no modesty whatsoever.

The interesting thing is that the 'naked one' is very 'conservative' - i.e. Has a Victorian home fully decorated in all the Victorian antique memorabilia, wears clothing totally buttoned up with those old-fashioned cameo broche pins at the neck, unfashionably long skirts- just really matronly. But in the hotel room... it's like she's at a nudist colony. Haha.

The story always made me feel uncomfortable, too.

I think it is inappropriate for a roommate to be completely naked in this situation.

I don't even want a roommate, naked or dressed, except my husband.

Well. . . When I was younger and single, I very much preferred that my 'roomates' be naked.

Any other than my gf, I would certainly have a problem with that. Don't want to see that.

Why is she traveling with a roommate? Why don't they have separate rooms?

I suspect its a question of money. If so, these were the kinds of things that should have been worked out before the trip began.

If they are roommates, the naked one probably spends a lot of time in her own room/bath at home naked and just sees this as an extension. What is meant by "running around?" A few minutes, and hour? All day lounging? Again, it was probably a nothing that has been blown out of proportions.

I'm okay with sharing a hotel room with certain people if we're trying to keep costs down (my best friend, for example, when we travel to NYC to catch Broadway shows). But I wouldn't want anyone I'm not romantically involved with to be walking around the room naked.

I also hate those fancy new hotel rooms that have a glass window between the bedroom and the bathroom when I am travelling with friends or family. Make sure that those curtain or roller blind is reaaallllyy closed properly.
