North Korea is the only place I absolutely wouldn't go outside of a war zone.

Otherwise it depends on the flight. I've already told my wife I've no intention of traveling to Hawaii, even for free, unless I have a first class ticket. 5 hrs in a plane is it for me. I'm tall, my shoulders spill onto the person next to me, my head is too tall to rest, my knees jam into the seat ahead of me, I invariably wrench my foot and cause an arthritis flare up somehow, it isn't worth it. If my in-laws said "we're taking the whole family to Hawaii for Christmas " I would likely bow out if I couldn't get first class for a reasonable price.

If my work asked me to fly to Singapore I would insist on business class or not go.

OP, you got me with Asia:-)

That's one continent I would probably never visit. I don't even have any rational reason for not visiting. It's just my "feeling", there's nothing for me to see. No interest what so ever in Asia.

Rabbit- Kenya is just gorgeous, you definitely should visit, if you can. I was in Kenya 20 years ago(wow, time is flying:-) and I just fell in love. I stayed there for only one month, but would return, if I could. I traveled a lot in my life, but Kenya was one place I realized, I would be able to call home.

I would also add Iran.. and probably any other country where there's a high risk of arrest and detention for U.S. Citizens.

Other than that, I'm pretty game for solo travel or travel with other adults. However, if you're talking about family travel with the wife and kids, the list of places I wouldn't go gets a lot longer.

For me, India conjures up images of sweltering heat, dirty water, cow poop, e-coli, body smells, and curry that tastes amazing ... until you get Delhi belly or worse.

Am I wrong?

Mod cut.
