I think NYC is a good place for solo travelers. There is so much to do and as a solo traveler one can pick and choose without having to compromise with traveling companions.

Any place worth traveling to is a great place for solo travel. I prefer traveling by myself.

Phuket, Thailand.

It's probably one of the few destinations where solo travel is more fun.

Spain... would have been REALLY fun solo (very late nights)... (than with little kids / family in tow, BUT kids opened up avenues for relationships)

actually... anywhere is a great place to travel solo (usually)

I like visiting Washington, DC solo in October. I attend the Annapolis Boat Show for 2 days, then spend a week in DC. Between the museums, monuments and other sights, I'm never bored. Lots of people around and I'm one who strikes up conversations with total strangers easily. Luckily, that 2nd week in October often coincides with Taste of DC which is a lot of fun.

The best places to visit solo are the ones YOU want to see. So when you imagine yourself traveling, where do you see yourself going?
