Apart from the usual GPS which apps do you use the most?

I've just booked a vacation in the UK and Eire, spending some time in London I have Hailo which is a great app for ordering or hailing London Taxi's. Also a London Underground app which not only has a really good map but also has route planning.

CityMaps2Go has great maps you can download onto your phone, so you donít need to spend a ton of money on data roaming.

Rome2rio is a great app for learning about the various transportation options that can get you from point A to point B.

I find activities etc, through a simple Google Search or using TripAdvisor.

I also use maps.me to pre-load high def maps to guide us around other countries. Even without cell service GPS works wherever so this is very handy.

I do the same with Google Maps as a second source of map info.

Lastly, I canít live without google translate (also download info before leaving) to help translate/read menus that are not in English.

If you read my post I clearly mentioned it was for US citizens and re-entry, which for US citizens almost always means coming back to USA.

Since in USA you have to clear immigration and customs at the first port of entry even if your final destination might be another airport it makes sense to have this in those airports with the largest volume of international US ( and Canadian, for which this applies too) passenger first port of arrival. Hence the 24 airports though it is likely to be expanded further. Once an US citizen has used the app he will most likely never again stand in a queue or in front of a kiosk.
