For lolling on the beach, getting in the water, and nearby things to do? Anywhere along the Alabama and Florida panhandles. Absolutely pristine beaches.
My favorite is Kirk park dog beach in Michigan. Michigan has the prettiest beaches I have seen in the US so far. Kirk park is not the most beautiful, but it is quite pretty and the dogs make it the most fun.
Haven’t been to a lot of beaches. I like to be on the go on my vacations, but I thought the beaches at White Bay on Jost Van Dyke, BVI and Smuggler’s Cove on Tortola, BVI were beautiful and the water was great!
I also love Fort Myers beach which was my first US coastal beach. Very pretty and I picked up so many seashells. I was visiting a friend in Cape Coral shortly after Thanksgiving and I loved it. It was nearly empty because mid-70’s was too cold for Floridians I guess which made it all the more inviting.
Seychelles and The Maldives are two of my top bucket list places for beaches. I will get to both soon.
The bestest and closest beach is Folly Beach outside Charleston. I do like me some waves. Runner up is Cape Henlopen in Delaware. It's the one place I've seen dolphins leap out of the water.
Favorite inland beach is Devil's fork park at lake Jocassee in SC. The water is so clear and blue it reminds me of the Bahamas. They have trucked in very white sand.
