Weird question - where can I find a view like this? (hotel, bridge)

Ok, so my husband and I went and visited Carmel/Monterey, CA once upon a time and had an amazing night sipping beverages, on a patio at a restaurant, watching the fishing boats off in the distance. Just the waves, the drinks, and us..
He wants to recreate that, but I would like to try somewhere new...
Where can we go that is as chill as this area (not a huge city, please!), with a big, active, fishing port and/or boat activity, and within a few hours drive of an airport?
Weird, I know, but he indulged me last trip, his turn now
Haha, that is one of the more unique and beautiful places in the US. I suspect you will never recreate it. Malibu was nice once upon a time, you might try there.
Sorry, but you can't beat our scenery here in northern California!
There are some beautiful coastlines in Oregon, though; and they often compare us to the Mediterranean, so perhaps there's a comparable view somewhere around there? I've been to Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Malta, which were all gorgeous but not quite the "same" as our views. Sorrento (Italy) was pretty stunning, however.
You guys are the best! Forgot to mention ONE teeny detail - this would be for a long weekend sometime between now and Thanksgiving...coming from the Midwest. So...would need to be within a 4 - 5 hour flight... about 10 years ago I could go long distance for short times and not blink. Now...oy.

Marriott Seattle Waterfront; 4 Seasons Seattle; No wave action but a fair mount of ships + nice views. Weather is mostly decent even in the winter. Easy airport connection by light rail, ~ 49 minutes, ~$4.
For smaller, more intimate, low service BnB, hotel, would be on Bainbridge WA, at the ferry.
Take the ferry to Bremerton or to Bainbridge at dusk, (RT ticket ~ $6, ~2hrs depending to where you want to go) It would be like "Affair to Remember" or " Sleepless in Seattle". Ferries are essentially located at 4 Seasons water level, 3 blocks.
North Oregon coast at the headlands. Lots of wave action but no boat traffic. 2-3 hours drive time from PDX. Weather variable.
Ft Lauderdale ,St Augustine historic district , or key west florida.
Bayahibe,Dominican republic. There is a cafe at the dock, catamaran galore. Many boats departing daily.
Can't recall the area, but San Francisco.
