You can't get close to The Smokies and Gatlinburg July 5th.

How about Charleston, Myrtle Beach (for beach fun) and Savannah?
Plenty to entertain you. Lots of golf, outlet shopping, nice beaches, historical sights, great food.
Or New Orleans.

St. Augustine, FL, oldest city in America. You won't even have to rent a car.

It's a walking town, tons of historic sights, bars, restaurants, beach, lighthouse, alligator farm. trolley. Ghost tours, paranormal stuff, too. Choice of hotel, B&B, or rent a condo. Do as much or as little as you like.

It's a great place. You won't be bored. Everyone I know who has gone has loved it.

You better choose Key West for your vacation as it is the best place to visit in July when compared to Las Vegas

I wouldn't even consider Florida or Las Vegas in July.

Agree!! My grand daughter wanted to go to Disney for her 8th birthday in early July, against my better judgement we went. There were people passing out in line the heat and humidity was so oppressive. We stayed at pool during day and went to park at night. Could not wait to leave, miserable experience.
