Heading to London in less than 2 weeks. We've rented an apartment in Paddington/Little Venice area. Can't wait!

back to work on the 24th
Sounds very cool.
I also work in our NYC office but mostly work remotely from Midwest.

Your trip looks a lot more sane.
I get scared when think about mine.

Another twist in the tail is, our new Au Pair arrives the same day we get back home - everyone will be super dead tired - don't know how are we going to have any energy to meet n greet her.

We're currently thinking of Christmas week in Papua New Guinea. Since that is south of the equator, it will be summer there, so I guess that qualifies.

Default Just getting back from first leg of travel

So, I'm just back from the first leg of my summer travel: Great Smoky Mountains (apparently we beat the crowds since elementary through high school are not out of school yet).

Also, went to several national parks in TN & KY and we basically had the place to ourselves although that wasn't the goal. No waiting in line for anything, no crowded camping spots, and saw practically no one at swimming holes and hiking trails. I was very surprised.

Because I'm just wired like this, I did a quick survey of which continents most posters on this thread were traveling to this summer. The results (loosely, generally speaking not itemized with 100% accuracy):

- The number of domestic and European (including Canada) travel destinations were almost neck and neck. They were 1st and 2nd respectively. Domestic was slightly ahead.

- Asia (4th) versus Mexico, Central and south America (3rd) resulted in MX/Central & South America slightly ahead of Asia.

What a great compilation! 🙂 Thanks for having this post! I will definitely use these useful tips and tricks on the following outstanding graphic design blogs. And totally agree of what you said, “you need serious graphic design skills when you’re planning on having your logo”. And a good designer has the skills and experience, as well as the industry-standard design software and programs, to do even better work in even less time.

I have a lot of might's or want tos.

May go up to the UP for a few days with my daughter and her SO when they come visit (Camping/hiking).
Hope to get out to visit said daughter in Denver.
We may go camping for a week in Ohio/Kentucky, or possibly up to the UP, or possibly a canoe camping trip.
Family reunion in Illinois/Iowa.
Might do the bridge walk (Mackinac Bridge) on Labor Day.
Now very unlikely but may attend Pennsic with kids (but they said they will probably no go this year).
Possibly go see the RV show in Indiana whenever that is "August?)
If I am not otherwise engaged at the time, I may go to Colon for the weekend during the Magician's convention.
Likely a trip or two to Chicago.
Possibly Thanksgiving in Texas.
Also might end up going with my son if he moves to Austin.
