Just made plans to visit Denver with my girlfriend for my birthday. Had wanted to go to Atlanta (home) to see friends, but decided to go somewhere new. If anyone knows much about Denver, would love suggestions for things to do. Weather will be great, as it will be mid-September. Staying near Sloans Lake, if anyone knows the area.

If your a pro football fan, go see a Broncos game. They are playing at home against the Raiders on 9/16.

I was in Amsterdam May 2-8. I’m heading to San Francisco on August 16, and I’m off to Turks and Caiscos on August 29.

Busy summer!

This summer has just ended, unfortunately. Last year I had a lot of plans for this three months, but I found out that I'm pregnant in spring. As I don't feel really good now, my husband and I decided not to risk, so we didn't go anywhere this season. But I hope we will be able to do this next year. Anyway, it was interesting to read about other people's traveling. I'm happy for you, guys!

This summer my plan was to stay in town and explore as many local parks and festivals as I can. We had a big trip last week of April/first week of May in Florida which left me with serious sunburn and all interest of beach vacation. We also have big family wedding in UK in October so low key summer

I ended up taking one family trip UP this long weekend but that's abut it

Naxos surprised the hell out of my wife and I. If we ever went back to Greece, Crete, Paros and Naxos would probably be our next stays. Naxos is really nice, cheap!

I'm planning to visit Chiang Mai at the end of month and go to Camp Meating again and unwind for a couple of days. Love how beautiful the place is and it's very instagrammable. You can check out my article about it hl-tha.com/4-instagram-worthy-cafes-in-chiang-mai

Don't stop!

Our BEST (most special / memorable) vacation was a spontaneous raft trip in Snake River (Tetons) 6+ months pregnant (That was 36 yrs ago...). Have had a LOT of very nice trips since, but none to compare to 'sunrise' on the Snake River, with Tetons in the background.
Wildlife was abundant in the early morning, steam rising off the river... SILENCE!

Didn't feel great, but that is not what we remember.

and a LOT of motorcycle trips that 'last- summer' before kids...

once with kids... we SHOULD have done a LOT more backpacking.

The kids... will NEVER forget the VW camper van roadtrips, especially the 7500 mile western USA adventure (2 kids still in diapers). They got 'squirt guns' to use for Air Conditioning, MAN was it HOT (and noisy) in the rear seat of a VW Campervan!

War stories, amazing war stories!
Our best wishes for your future family time traveling!

We lived overseas and homeschooled till kids were age14, THAT was an adventure (went to ~30 countries)
