A few thousand times for me and not dead yet... but maybe tomorrow
I'll take the higher radiation Pre walk through any day if it means I'm not getting sent to secondary screening again over a bra strap.

That is bizarre to me.

This year, 2018, I've done more traveling than anytime in my career, and indeed lifetime now age 50. I'm up to about half to three-quarters the month these days. I like it, something different. About to sail into Delta's Silver Medallion, I believe a couple trips from now. Gold, might not make it. Hey, bully for me.

Point? I've had Global Entry, and the accompanying NEXUS and SENTRI, since early 2015. Went through the process, which was hilariously onerous and took months, and drove to Blaine WA (not terribly far for me) to the US/Canada border for the mandatory interview. They cleared me and it was done not long after.

Making my own reservations, I enter my Known Traveler Number everywhere (all the airlines) and I'm always on TSA Pre. Always. Home base is Seattle (SEA).

I find quoted statement bizarre because one, there are zero cases where the TSA Pre line at SEA is longer than the standard line. SEA is notorious standard lines, they can be an hour or more if you get a bad time. TSA Pre is faster, end of story. I have walked through with zero wait, and I mean 1-2 minutes if that, max 5-10 minutes in peak times, maybe twelve times so far in this still-young year, so say nothing of tail end of 2017.

Same with Newark, a notorious airport, last week. Almost no wait, rush hour on a Tuesday.

Ditto NW Arkansas Regional, half dozen times and counting.

Atlanta.

O'Hare, God knows how many times through.

Nashville.

Shall I go on? Name the airport(s) where you're having alleged problems, with specific and multiple examples. Mine are all mid-2017 to this very week, April 2018. I'll be traveling NW Arkansas to SEA in two days, matter of fact, on the road now.

Global Entry and POE? I've entered United States on Global Entry through POE SEA (multiple times) and POE Newark, now, from London and other countries abroad. Both were an absolute snap, saving me literally hours each time given full flights. The idea that somehow the regular, toiling lines with foreigners, sweating mobs, etc. is somehow "better" in such cases is complete nonsense.

Hope that helps.
