Mopti, Mali. I had a 3-week vacation and tried to get to Timbuctoo ovelland (except the transoceanic part), but at Mopti was blocked by a cholera quarantine, had to stay there for four days and then had to turn back to my job. Mopti was wonderful, a worthwhile destination in its own right..
