Hello,

I'm looking to book a 3(ish) day tour to Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea when visiting Jordan in March of 2019. From looking online everything seems quite expensive, so is it possible to book the tour through the hostel I'm staying at or through tour agencies in Amman once I arrive? Or would it be recommended to bite the bullet and just book a tour online?
If anyone has some company suggestion or know if its possible to book the day before in Amman that would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not clear where you starting point is but I don't think you don't need a tour company.

From Amman go to the South bus station and catch a minivan to Wadi Musa, they are of the "leave when full" variety but fill up pretty quickly in the mornings. We went this route, this be the van:

From Wadi Musa you can walk to Petra that afternoon, or take one of the pickups that trawl around looking for folks to drive there. For Wadi Rum it's better to book from Wadi Musa, they'll pick you up at your guest house (or the minivan station) the next morning and they'll put you right outside Wadi RUm where someone will be waiting for you. Most of the Wadi Rum camps do same stuff so it doesn't matter who you pick. They will take you to the major sites then you'll do some camping in the desert.

We didn't go to Dead Sea on the Jordan side so can't help you there.
