Of course you can drive outside of England. You mean I wouldn't even be able to go to Wales, that's stupid?!

you can think it is stupid, all you want, however, it will not change facts, many rental companies have geographic restrictions.
I had a cousin who was an engineer, he did a job in Africa ( forget which country,) but they were not allowed to walk the streets on their own, they had a security detail take them to lunch & dinner, & any other outings.

Why do you think you are so special that gangs & bandits, or corrupt border guards will give you a thumbs up?

What so I couldn't drive just 1 hour to Wales from where I live?!

I do think there's a language disconnect here- in many parts of Europe the car companies do a short term lease for 2-6 months rather than a multiyear minimum, and are often an alternative to a traditional rental car for people on longer holidays.

I wasn't aware that Mini did those kinds of leases- thought it was Peugot/Renault where you went for that.

we are not talking about Wales are we? get a grip. You are being really dumb imo,or deliberately obtuse, going to Africa is a different continent, not crossing a border on the same island.

The other person said you couldn't take it out of England, therefore the 1 hour drive to Wales is not possible.

He probably meant the UK, not just England. Are you being deliberately obtuse?

I hope this thread doesn't get closed, I'm enjoying your naivete.

Have you actually called & verified that you can take it into Africa. Geographical restrictions are real.

Looks like the Algeria - Niger border is usually closed these days due to terrorism concerns and a multitude of refugees.

The information may say a hotel had air conditioning, but that doesn't mean it works.

Much of the produce in Africa will make you ill, especially lettuce and other leafy items that can't be properly disinfected. If you persist with this foolish endeavor, you may have to become non-vegan to 9 get enough to eat.

If you have disabilities, you definitely should not attempt the proposed trip unless you are willing to die. There are a myriad of people who will take advantage of you, and don't care whether you live or die.
