My life depends on the climate of the Earth. A few degrees warming makes it uninhabitable.
You do realize, do you not, that there are a whole range of life choices between the extremes of living life as a cloistered monk on one hand, and totally frying the earth and rendering it uninhabitable on the other? The difference between making this trip in a small hybrid vehicle and making this trip in a vehicle appropriate to the likely conditions that you will encounter, in terms of degrading the Earth's climate, is so minuscule as to be undetectable to all but the most sensitive scientific instruments, and probably not even then. But the difference, in terms of you being likely to successfully complete this trip without dying en route, is substantial.

Yes it does make a difference. Every gram of co2 counts. If a small hybrid vehicle isn't appropriate (which I think it is) then what vehicle do you suggest I use? No way I'm ever driving a Land Rover.
I haven't passed my test yet, I aim to pass in June this year. So I haven't driven in any foreign countries. Yes I am going to travel alone. I will rent apartments online and use google translate for non English speaking countries. And yes I am going in a Mini because I want something with relatively low carbon emissions.
Now this thread took an entertaining turn.
Just... Lol!
I think this trip has the potential to be a Darwin award winner. I do not mean to be rude, but you are far too naive & a bit of a carbon zealot, refusing to listen to people who have been there, & showing some ignorance by dismissing any advice that does not fit into your preconceived plan
