This is in follow up to the below thread I had previously posted about going to South Africa for my 40th birthday: Alternatives to South Africa...?
So I decided to still do Seychelles even though it was rainy season. I did Dubai and Seychelles instead of Cape Town and Seychelles because I realllllly wanted to see Seychelles and felt like for a two week trip, I was going to need to save doing Cape Town and also the Garden Route (and likely a safari) for another time in the future. I decided just doing Dubai at the beginning would be easier due to time constraints (and the fact my best friend who joined me on the trip really wanted to see Dubai).
I am so grateful to be able to report that not one drop of rain came down during the 10 days we were in the Seychelles (La Digue, Praslin and Mahe). Sharing a few photos below.
For me tropical beach islands get boring after 4-5 days at most, but I love to look at the pictures.
I understand; I get bored after about a week (typically...it depends). But we were island hopping so for this trip (especially considering the time allocated to transportation) I think the timing dedicated to these three particular islands was perfect for us. I actually could have done one more day in both Mahe and Praslin each honestly.
Beautiful! I have always wanted to see the Seychelles. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Thanks!
I really hope you get a chance to go.
