Be sure to bring some masking tape on your carry-on next time you fly!

American Airlines, United Airlines and Singapore Airlines have new seat-back entertainment systems that include cameras.

Just be glad you do not have the 'pit' job of reviewing the videos of the aircraft cameras from the toilet!

You mean I can't pick my nose on a plane anymore? And I can't take a souvenir spoon with the airline logo?

Somebody explain why I should care if I can be seen while in full view of a flight attendant.

Wear long sleeves and learn how to palm the spoon, like a magician.

I just fumbled them off the tray, then pick them up off the floor later. On flights where only first classs gets metal spoon, I ask the flight attendant for one.

Why would they want to watch nosepickers, pimplepoppers, headscratchers, etc..... ? Lol

I just flew AA on a several 737 Max and the only IFE and cameras are on ones own cellphone or tablet! A nonissue on these planes.

Airlines are just like everyone else, of whom there's one born every minute. A third party sold them the seatback monitors, and included, for additional markup and profit, a camera and lots of other geewhiz doodads to make the airlines' buyer's eyes light uo. But the airline has no more use for all that than you have for all the bells and whistles your TV is capable.

Yawn. Now back to the regularly scheduled free market capitalism for which you pay so handsomely.

If people are going to do something gross in full view of the people around them anyway, I don't see why a camera makes a difference. It doesn't bother me too much. Cameras in a PRIVATE space, now that would bother me.

I like to pick my nose in private, thank you very much. (Now I'll just have to wipe it on the camera lens! LOL) (Yeah, I know: GROSS!)

I hope someone sues them and at least forces them to put a sign on the back of each seat: "a camera will be watching your every move".

Then we'll see how long it takes for their business to suffer until they get rid of the cameras. Fair enough? "What the market will bear", right?

If you give up your right to privacy you will eventually be sorry as you will be living in a society that monitors you in your house 24/7 as well. This is just the 1st step. Rememer, Hitler didn't start gassing the Jews, gays and gypsies right off the bat - it was a process.

Seems like a waste of money just to see my weird expressions to some show...

UA in particular can afford to waste money on frivolous things like that but can't afford not to bump passengers....Makes sense!
