Matchbooks. Thousands of them from all over the world. Getting harder to find these days, especially in America. They are packed in boxes. Some day in retirement I will make cases to display them.

Thanks. I never pay attention to the current topics to the right. I just sort of stay in the lanes of my usual fora, so I forget that list is there. LOL

We have a collection of magnets/postcards/ornaments from places we visit. Maybe not all 3 from every place, but definitely postcards. They're cheap and don't take up much room. Some years ago I splurged and bought a really nice postcard rack from Pottery Barn and display the cards in it, every few months I'll shuffle some around so the same ones aren't always in the front.

Technically, it is illegal to import natural objects (rocks, leaves, etc.) into the US.

Many countries also prohibit taking them out, as well as archaeological artifacts, and my rocks from several countries were confiscated by Somali baggage inspectors.

Not a collection, but I treasure a pine cone given to me by a Spaniard in Madrid and one of the tiles from Lisbon’s cobbled streets...it was just looking up at me, asking to be taken...

I also have a piece of the Great Wall of China, but it was a gift from someone who also ‘heard the call’...

We started out buying shot glasses, but as we've gotten older we drink less and less, so then we started buying regular mugs, then it switched to hats, now we tend to buy a Christmas ornament. For the kids they get a new Pin for their hats. So I guess we have a little bit of everything.

Shot glasses because that's what my parents did when I was growing up.
I have started with magnets now, too. They take up less space and can be useful at the same time
