After my transatlanic flight, I have an hour on a city bus, a wait at greyhound's lovely station, a 3-hour bus ride, and another city bus ride, and a walk home from the bus stop with my carry-on. The 8-hour flight is the best part of the day..

I have not flow in over a year on AA and on Spirit for a year or so longer
Those seats look very uncomfortable and more than that—slippery
If you take a pillow put some type of rubber on the bottom—like gaskets on canning lids—to prevent the pillow from sliding toward seat in front

Pillow... lol! Is that your first flight, ever?
I fly quite frequently and never saw anyone bringing pillow to sit on, not even on transatlantic flights. A neck pillow, perhaps but not other cushions.
If you want more comfy seat, upgrade to coach premium and pay the difference. (~$20)

BTW: you could talk with your boss and show him the seats picture. If he fly with First Class, he might have no idea how economy seats look like.
If he cares, he might upgrade your seat.

Hopefully he didn't make reservation at Motel6 for your stay. I remember your thread about hotel mattresses.

I sometimes bring a small pillow for my lower back. Fortunately we don't fly often. Last flight the economy plus seat upgrade did not help with the oddly contoured seat back. Not designed for a tall person.

Economy plus doesn't give you a different seat. It's typically just additional space between you and the seat in front of you.

Frontier does NOT have a First Class section! Every seat in the airplane is an economy slimline seat (IE, concrete covered in vinyl).

Obviously if they did, I would have upgraded to that!

I tried out the Purple seat cushion at the store the other day. It seemed comfortable. Not sure how it would be on an airplane, but it could also be used in your car or at your desk in between flights.

Plus it looks like they have a nice 30 day return policy, so you could get it right before your flight, and return it if it doesn't work out.

I knew that. And not all economy plus seats are bad, but we experienced one on an AA flight that really sucked. Previous economy plus seats on a couple UAL flights were fine. That's going back 5 years to review 3 round trip flights.

I didn't say that they (Frontier) have First Class, but they do have Stretch Sitting that has more cushion and leg space for just few dollars more.
Check this Iink again, and see if this option could make your flight more comfortable. The seats and the purchase options:
