Absolutely I do. It's bad enough I have to tell people I live *near* Potland lest they start accidentally thinking I'm Canadian, the last thing I need is to make people think I live *in* that S hole of a city.

That, and beards are disgusting.

Very tacky.
The OP's cousin is the one who has a job with a tour company. Someone complained about the OP's brother, who was on vacation.

My husband only shaves once every week or two anyway, so when on vacation he just changes his shaving schedule to be the day before we leave and the day we get back.

Wow!

My husband and I like to go to very nice places on vacation and I can't imagine him showing up unshaven.

It's slovenly.

Maybe it's not a good look for your husband, but to say anyone who doesn't shave looks dirty? A bit judgmental... Men can still look nice with facial hair.

Would you say Tom Brady has a slovenly appearance at the Met Gala?

It was mostly a pleasant time touring the countryside.

After we got back, we found out another company complained to the tour company because my brother didn't shave every day.

At first we all thought this was hilarious. I mean, it's not like he has a fast growing beard. But then I started to wonder if the other passenger had a point. A little stubble doesn't bother me, but maybe other people really don't care to see it. Now that I think about it, after 5 days other people would probably have noticed it.

Was he being tacky? I hate to ask him to shave when he's on vacation, because that's part of relaxing for him. But I also don't want our family to be "the Ugly Americans."
I started growing my hair out long again a month ago, and haven't shaved in a few weeks. Please let me know the name of the tour company so I can be sure to book with them next time around. It'll be fun!

I didn't say men don't look nice with facial hair. My husband wears the same look Tom Brady does and has facial hair. My husband is a part time actor and model.

It is a complicated shave. Notice no hair on his neck.

Yes, I'm very judgemental about that. Men who don't shave look homeless.

You said your husband would never go on vacation unshaven, that it's slovenly to do so.

Some guys just can't pull the look off. But many of us can. If I put a few pictures of the worst,
your computer screens might crack. So I opted for some guys that can pull off the look.

When many think of beards, they think the guy is lazy about shaving. Some of that is true, but some guys take great pride in their beards. Then you have the guys that can't grow a beard at all. All they get is random patches. Those guys shouldn't bother.

Perhaps OP, your brother "can't grow a beard". His "beard" made him look dirty because of its patchiness.
