Im thinking about buying one of these for my laptop. Reason being many times i cannot find an outlet when traveling. I read that the limit is 100W. So if a powerbank is 18000 mAh, i read that is okay.

But has anyone here had issues traveling with a power bank traveling internationally? I read that if its above a certain Watt limit, you cannot carry it. But if its 100W or less, there is no issues? So what if you carry one that is 18000 mAh and one that is say a tiny one that is 5000 mAh that is very small and for cell phone?

Do you need to let TSA know you have a powerbank in your carry on as well? Has anyone here had issues where they had no issues traveling outside the US with it... but when coming back to the US, there were issues because the other country did not allow you to travel out of it back to the US with it? However, that wouldn't make sense since if you are traveling in that country with it... then should be no problem traveling out of it back to the US? Or am i wrong here?

The largest I've traveled with is 10000mAh. Like lieqiang said, I've never had anyone try to figure out the specs, but I have had to take it out of my carry on bag going through the security screening when traveling internationally.

Hi there. How much cell is your powerbank? Also if one is say 10000mah and one is 12000mah and one is 18000 mah, does the higher the number also mean the bigger it is physically?

The thing is i always carry a light powerbank that is for the iphone and i never taken it out of my carry on bag ever as oppose to my laptop. But the biggers ones like this that look like a charger, they always require you take it out right?

Actually, my battery pack is a 20100 mAh pack.

I havenít always been asked to remove it. For instance, I think it had to be scanned separately when transiting through PVG, but I think in NRT I was able to leave it in my bag.

Hi there. So if your 20100 mAh is okay, does that mean a battery that is 18000maH would be fine? I got a dell powerbank for my laptop and want to use it to travel.

I throw all my electronics and related items in a bin - laptop/tablet, charger(s), phone, battery pack...less time than to wait and wonder about them asking...just DO IT!

Well i want to know now in case. I mean i don't want to go there drop all the devices and then suddenly they say okay you can't bring this powerbank. Because if i know that, then i wouldn't bring it with me. I just bought it right now so if i can't bring it, im going to just return it.

Iím not an expert on every single country or airline, but I think it should be fine. If it were me, I would just bring it and wouldnít give it a second thought.
