The idea is, you pick a city, and it gives you an airport to fly to (or, if it happens to be close enough, to drive to. Has anyone ever done this? Or actually done the thing where you show up at an airport, and fly to the next place an airline is going? Similar to Lincoln, NE in Yes Man? I'm generally such a planner, that at some point, I want to try this out. Curious if anyone else has had any experience with this or anything similar.

Re "pick a city", Google Maps does this. Just tried flights for Paris to London, and got choices of LHR, LGW, LCY, CDG, ORY. (oddly it also listed the Eurostar train.)

I used to live in a Canadian city that had direct flights to London but not Paris. Instead of the hourly AF/BEA connection, I'd ask my agent for an airline that stopped both on a long haul. I got Japan Airlines and Pakistani Int once. I also flew Madrid-London on Argentine.

The JAL Paris-London was a breakfast leg of their RTW, and there were more flight crew than passengers., the few stragglers going all the way to London. I felt very pampered.

I just recently learned about this. https://www.deltaprivatejets.com/sky...on/?intent=buy
Supposedly there are other companies as well, but this one seems to have the best options and best price. (If you are wondering, I saw that it was $8500/year as recently as last year)
This membership essentially gives you access to any charter flights that are empty/repositioning...ie, when someone else charters a private jet, you get to hop on the empty plane as it transits to that customer, or afterwards as it transits back to its home base. So if you are extremely flexible, you can fly as much as you want on private planes for a year and you get the full jet, meaning you can bring as many people along as the plane can hold. For 2018 they had over 500 of these repositioning flights per month. You obviously have to be extremely flexible though as you're generally grabbing last minute openings and on the flip side, if the charter customer cancels then your flight is canceled too.
