The longest domestic flight, Boston <--> Honolulu, debuted yesterday. Flight time is 11 hours 40 minutes and covers 5,095 miles by Hawaiian Air. Takes longer flight time than East Coast to Europe or West Coast to Japan.

In the promotional period last October, I bought a round trip ticket @ $11.20 + 35,000 miles (which you can get by applying for Hawaiian Air Credit Card: 60,000 miles sign up bonus with $99 annual fee). If you paid cash, it was about $600. Now it cost more.

Domestic great circle distances from HNL
ATL 3,912 nautical miles / 4,502 statute miles
MIA 4,225 nautical miles / 4,862 statute miles
BOS 4,427 nautical miles / 5,095 statute miles

It looks like Boston to Honolulu is going to be the longest domestic route forever.

It's almost as long as the popular LAX-LHR (Los Angeles to London) 5,456 statute miles

To be fair, I think Boston to San Francisco, which I believe is the longest flight within the continental US takes just as long if not longer than traveling to London. I know going to Dublin, Ireland is shorter though

It takes less time because the trip from BOS to SFO is against the trade winds, while flying to Dublin is with the winds.
But it is actually 10.6% longer distance to Dublin

American does a Miami-Seattle non-stop that's 25 air miles further than Boston-San Francisco.
