OP, are you using "sketchiness" as a euphemism for Black or Latino people?
As a tourist anywhere in the world, you would be visiting the "safe" areas of any town. So, trying to find a town having "little" sketchiness doesn't make any sense at all.
Eh. Some tourist areas have a fair amount of sketchiness right outside the popular areas (or even within it: see Waikiki). Other tourist areas have very little sketchiness within 100 miles.
As for your race-baiting, it's Friday. So I'm goimg to pretend that you didn't just say that.
Seems to me you are looking for "exclusive". Based on your claims that Disney is too expensive (granted it is if a perfectly fake world and standing in line isn't your thing) you are looking for champagne on a beer budget. And if you think St Augustine doesn't have sketchy you didn't look hard enough.
will be driving cross country - plan to go through tennessee and stop in Memphis and Nashville - any areas to avoid? I mean in terms of crime as will be driving/delivering a newer car
I would never recommend a Caribbean cruise if someone wants to avoid "sketchiness," especially if the cruise is on a mainstream cruise line to a typical Caribbean port.
Perhaps if you choose an upscale cruise line and sail to premium ports, but otherwise, no, you are likely to encounter a lot of people (including children) who want handouts and you may even find yourself in the middle of some serious strife.
The absolute truth. I can't understand why everyone runs to the Caribbean than complains and whines when bad things happen. I guess visiting there is some kind of a status symbol.
