I found Romania to be pretty darn cheap. In fact everything in that region was cheap, from Bulgaria to Macedonia to Albania. Things go up in price a bit going north (Serbia, Croatia, etc.) since more on the vacation circuit now but still not bad, and of course Greece has prices that reflect high tourist demand.

Palmer Station and McMurdo Station, Antarctica. 3 meals a day cooked for me, all the extreme weather gear included, your tax dollars paying for everything including my flights and I was being paid to be there!

Of course you are right in their explanations.
I just live practically in Poland and I do not see these obvious things. Probably I'm blind.

One can find pictures of homeless people in any country, summarizing it as the people of a given country sleep with dogs is idiotic. I'd wager it's far more common for people in western countries to actually sleep with dogs than in Thailand, where indoor pet dogs are far less common.

I found it interesting that Thailand Chickens and Dogs sleep together (out in front of the restaurant).

Guess either knows they could be the next entree... so no sense fighting.

Maybe Thai dogs do not like chicken?
