Are ANY hotels in Paris not "tourist friendly"?

Your budget would be helpful.

Safe and tourist-friendly hotels in Paris are all over the place. My two favorite areas of Paris are the 4th Arondissement (the Marais area) and the 6th Arondissement (Blvd. St. Germain area). There are many hotels at all price levels in those two areas, as there are in other parts of Paris.

We always stay in teh 8th arrondissement, near the Palais Garnier (opera house). Near a major train station that made getting around very easy.

We have stayed here many times. It is located in Saint Germain and is an easy walk to many landmarks around Paris as well as close to public transportation.

Def the Marais. I don't normally recommend bus tours but we went on a "Paris By Night" tour that was outstanding.

Ours was a family of four when we stayed a week and rented an apartment. Our landlady was very friendly and often came to visit.
