Has anyone traveled by staying with people through Couchsurfing or Hospitality Club?? It seems like a great idea to save money and get to know other people from different cultures and/or different parts of the country.

If you have, do you recommend it? What were your experiences?
Do you think it's more so for visiting another country... or have you done
it within the USA too?
