The people that i mention are not doing this 87/93 split because they must, rather they're tired of the sc**w-job that they're getting at the pump. They've made the connection that, "Hey, when regular gas was 1.80, mid-grade was about .11 more, and super was about .11 more than mid-grade. And now that regular is 4.40, how much is mid-grade and super? Yep, still around .11 differential between the grades".
In TX, the price differences between 87 and 89 and 89 and 93 is about $0.15/gal. Yes, that's why I use super unleaded for my car (Acura RSX-S).

Wow, gas under $4. I'm jealous.

Los Angeles, CA ~$4.59/gal for regular. Premium is very close to $5.

Gas prices just jumped about a dime/gal. today near me. But it'll drop again since oil had its 2nd biggest price drop in history.

Lucky you. I thought we were pretty good here in southern Colorado at about $3.93 to $3.99 for a low and a high of about $4.05 for the cheap stuff.

The price to go down a bit? That'd be different. I'll believe it when I see it. Heck, I'll even try to be spiritual about it; I'll see it when I believe it.

Let's all get spiritual...ohmmm...
