This is just it...THAT'S NOT what this thread is about!
Title of this thread is (Quote): This is my country "Saudi Arabia", this is my hometown!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greeting all

I’d love to share this amazing video showing my hometown (ALBAHA), located south of Saudi Arabia.

End of story....
No reason to take it any further, and to complicate it on wondering, what the customs are nor what these people believe in.
Geessshhh....can't just one....for one moment...just take in the pictures and beauty?
Why "analyze" everything to death?
I encouraged him/ her to post more pictures.....and show us the beauty of his/ her country.
BTW.......a traveler has the choice.....either visit a country and dress approprietly....or go and visit a more "western" orientated country instead.
Choices, people....there ARE choices!

It is a beautiful video. Forget the snow, I didn't realize it could be 'green.'Too bad I can't visit because I'm female. If this were the early 1700s, maybe I would have gone

Saudi Arabia is a beautiful country, very traditional, fine place, a bit too hot for my taste though.

Albaha is a very beautiful place
i know a lot of guys from Albaha and most of my relatives have been to Albaha
i am from the Aljubail Industrial City, eastern part of Saudi Arabia
regrading your disccusions about the women
i would tell that it is not as bad as it was about 10 years ago
there is a slight improvement ( on our eyes huge improvments )
women started to be given some of their rights
several programs were started to solve their problems with their husbands
they were allowed to work ( in the past they can't work in anywhere but as a teacher in a female school )
and i am sure they will be allowed to drive very soon
it just takes a while
again it is not perfect but it gets better
( it is matter of time ) thats what the king said to the CNN reporter when she asked him about the women driving in Saudi Arabia
best wishes:
unknown-man

I have been to Saudi Arabia and saw nothing like that but I was over by the Persian gulf where you get the more classic views of Arabia with lots of sand dunes and stark vast deserts. I had no idea there was any place that green in Saudi Arabia. Very interesting tour.

The hot weather located mainly in central and eastern region only, the south is the most wonderful weather at all.
