We change numerous air filters on a regular basis. I would have no concerns about air quality while flying.
Now, as a mechanic, I would have to say that removing an old interior is the worst job out there. The plane is full of cooties. Thousands upon thousands of passengers spend every day grinding their dirt, and grime into the carpets and seats. We come along and disturb that when we pull things apart. I would rather spend my day crawling through an explosive fuel tank, dragging a life support system, and a flashlight. At least I know that no passenger ever puked, peed, bled, or died in there. Give me fuel tanks any day.
