I searched for a Frommer's book on Houston and couldn't find anything after the early part of this decade.

What's the reason? Lack of demand?

There isn't much to see in Houston.
NASA; in Clear Lake, about 40 minutes from Houston.
Galveston is not like the Floridian coast, but it's not too bad.
But, there are plenty of good and excellent restaurants; all types.
Houston is more the Capital for the Energy industry...
Best of luck.

I have visited houston just last month.
Nothing to see for tourist.

Houston is a great city but not a great tourist destination.

NASA is boring.....Galveston is dirty and the aquarium in the downtown area is the worst and smallest aquarium I have ever seen in my whole life.

For a city of such size, it's shocking how little there is to do there. <snore>
