The Northway(I87) from Albany to Montreal thru the Adirondacks is gorgeous. No toll booths!

The Northway was designated in 1967 by Parade Magazine as America’s Most Scenic Highway.

When I lived in Northern Michigan I drove US-41. I have been alot of places but this was beautiful in the fall and winter. A little bit outside of Marquette the road was lined with what looked like Christmas tress in the first photo.

Beautiful....but also a little unnerving Big drop offs and no guard rails! HWY 12 (legends hwy) through the Spanish peaks in Colorado is Gorgeous! I also vote for HWY 101!!

Interstates 15 and 90 in Montana aren't bad but you miss the best scenery if you stick to them. Actually they both traverse the "ugliest" parts of the state.

The Going to the Sun Road has got to be the most scenic highway in the US far and away:

I thought the topic was INTERSTATE highway. Why are people listing state roads, scenic byways, local roads, etc? 550 in colorodo is NOT an interstrate. Parks Highway in Alaska is NOT an interstate. US-41 in Michigan is NOT...well you got the idea.
Yeah, I'm a killjoy.
