i am considering taking the amtrak from charlotte to atlanta for a day trip. (leaves at 3am, gets to atlanta at 8, leaves atlanta at 8 to return at 12am)

has anyone rode this leg of the crescent before? if so, how did you like it? or if not, what about amtrak in general?

Well it sounds like a lot of your travel will be in the dark so sounds rather dull, to be honest.
