My first ride was on Pan Am to Guam, I was about 10, then during our stay there we went to Japan a couple of times. When we got back, my dad had a friend who had a license and his own plane and they took me up and over the Riverside/San Bernadino area for about an hour, in his private plane for my b-day, it was really fun.
My first husband's brother lived in the high desert and had his own small plane right out in his back yard (he owned a huge property in the middle of nowhere) and from time to time, took his kids up in it. It was actually a pretty big 'small' plane.

Pittsburgh to San Francisco when I was 18, to visit my aunts and uncles. It was a graduation gift from my parents -- I think they wanted me out of the house for the summer until it was time to go away to school!

My first flight was in November last year when I was 18. Was from Invercargill-Christchurch-Auckland which is about 621miles (2hours). Then within November 18 to December 26 I had went over 15,000 from Invercargill-Christchurch-Auckland-San Francisco-Reno Tahoe International and back again. Quite strange.

Flew from Chicago to Seoul, South Korea. Thankfully, my dr prescribed me valium for the 14 hour flight.

It was a bit unnerving to leave SK at noon and arrive in Chicago at noon.

I was just a few months old. Father was in Air Force and going overseas. They were living in Lawton, OK. So flew with mother and brother from OK to Phoenix, AZ to live with my grandmother until his return.

I was about 9 years old and flew from Greenville/Spartanburg Airport to New York LaGuardia. We flew Eastern Airlines on a 727 WhisperJet. That trip opened my eyes and lit a fire for my desire to travel and see things. I went on to work for Piedmont Airlines eventually became USAir. I was there 23.5 yrs and have been around the world and USA!
