My cousins told me that they were going to go to PUERTO RICO for 3 days with their Uncle, so I said, can I go too? It was November 1973, my first time to fly and it was a NIGHT FLIGHT! And I flew over the caribbean 4 times. I have flown over the Pacific Ocean 16 times, AND I HATE FLYING!

Boston to San Francisco on TWA and got an upgrade to first class-when in 1969. Also b4 then, in New Hampshire I went on a single plane with a friend, and did say this is it? The pilot then , and I was in the front, ok, and did fly the plane upside down, that was real neat, back in 1965.

My friend in back, as not so happy!

I flew to Nashville to visit some college friends, from NY. I went to college in Nashville, but always went by car or bus. I was 21.
Little did I know then that I would be back here to live, after 30 plus years.

That was my daughters first Flight. She was only a year old. We went there and she had just started walking, but 12 days later she was running thru the airport. She got her confidence walking on the sand, knowing it was a soft surface.

My girlfriend's dad had a Cessna. He took me up in my hometown but the only thing I recognized from the air was the local drive in movie theater. I do remember distinctly that he asked me if I wanted to see a stall. I thought he was talking about horses so I replied Yes. I found out real quick what a stall was. I really thought it was my last flight too.
My first commercial flight was a short jaunt from Miami to Freeport in the Bahamas. I really enjoyed it. I was 18 at the time.

I had never been on and air plane or in and air port until I was around 40 years old. My job required me to not only take a 32 hour flight to Brasil, but I was sent an air pass ( the kind you can only buy out side of the country you will traveling in) because I would have to be on 20 more flights once in country. that is what they call baptism by fire
