I have flown a few times when my bladder wasn't as active as it is now and have never used the restroom on the plane. I am going to fly again middle of next month and I know I will have to use the restroom and I am petrified. Am I looney?

Unreasonable fear.... its not like you'll get sucked out of the plane when you flush, its just a bathroom.

I don't think that is the part I am afraid of. It's just getting up and crawling over people (I have a window seat) and walking down the aisle and that kind of thing. Social anxiety, I guess!

Sorry to go into my bladder habits, but sometimes I have days where I have to go every hour. I can only hope that day is not one of those days!

Can you switch you seat assignment to an aisle seat? That way, you won't need to ask your aisle-mates to let you in and out.

I picked the window seat because I am traveling with my cat in a cat carrier under the seat and I don't want to inconvenience people who need to get out and I don't want to cause my cat anymore stress than he will already be going through.

Follow proper etiquitte.
1.) Don't get up when the plane is ready to take off or ready to land (flight attendants tend to frown on that, to put it lightly),
2.) don't get up when flight attendants are moving that service cart down the aisle, or just after being served and your fellow passengers have their trays down,
3.) don't get up and use the seat in front of you as a crutch to raise yourself, you don't know how much that bothers me to be launched forward because some idiot behind me is grabbing my seat,
4.) if you see a woman raising up before you to go to the restroom, sit back down, you are going to be waiting awhile.
5.) If you are in couch class wait for the person to leave the seat to let you pass (just say excuse me and stand there, they will get the message) rather than crawling over them. In most case crawling over them doesn't work and results in some embarassment.
6.) Know the difference between the occupied and unoccupied light,
7.) See that curtain? That divides first class and couch. When I'm sitting in first class (I spend alot of money on airlines to get my upgrades) don't use my bathroom. You have one in back. There is no difference, trust me, but give us 1st class people our little perk of not having to wait in line to use a restroom. Plus we will give you dirty looks.
8.) Zip up after you do your business (don't laugh, it happens, and when you walk down the aisle with your crotch at face level it will be noticed).

Lol Thanks for the tips! I might just wear a diaper.

I've been flying for many years and it looks to me like plane restrooms seem to get smaller and smaller every year.
Standing is ok, but sitting in one of them is becoming more difficult.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?
