Anyone know a good place to ski/snowboard in late April that's in the US? I have vacation then and I really want to go skiing, but I know most places that are still open then, the skiing isn't that good. I was considering Whilster in VC, so any info on there or anywhere else that yall know with GOOD skiing in late April would be appriciated! THanks!

Snowbird, Utah would be my best guess, they average 500+ inches of snow a year, and you can bet that there would still be lots of snow in Late April there.

Colorado's ski season goes into late April. Depending upon the season's snowfall, major ski areas can still be open, with A-Basin staying open for another month +++.

Snowbird, as suggested above, is a great choice. There are many others: Mammoth in California; and many resorts in Colorado (A-Basin, Copper, Aspen, Snowmass, etc.) in Colorado; and Taos in New Mexico. Take a look at Family Ski Vacations When to Go (http://webpages.charter.net/tcrocker818/fam_ski.htm - broken link) for a good evaluation of early and late skiing across much of the continental US.

I used to always go to A-Basin in mid to late April for the Spring skiing. It was always good snow.
