Smile Destin or South Walton

I am planning my vacation now but am torn between South Walton or Destin. There are great homes in both areas, any recommendations!?

Destin is what fort walton was several years ago. I would definely say destin . I use to go to that area for the month of October and Destin has just took off these days.Fort Walton has its charms but is really liike many older resort towns in that it is not the most up to date.
