The web sites of:
Holland America
Princess
Carnival
Royal Caribbean
and cruisecritic.com
I took Holland America. An aquaintance and his wife are currently on a Carnival.
A cruise to Alaska is a magical experience of a lifetime.

We've done 2 Alaska cruises on Princess, had a ball, fantastic cruise line and trip. Google 'Princess Cruise Lines' for information.

They normally run May through September. You need to book early in order to get the best price and best selection on room. Best to book a year in advance.

There are many excellent deals on last minute cancellations. You can save big $$ by being on their cancellation list. Otherwise as above said, book a year in advance before the next season price increase.

I went on holland american line like two weeks ago. I was on the oosterdam ship. Seemed like mostly old people on the ship though lol. I'd go on a ship more family oriented like disney cruise or something like that.

I just got back from a Northbound cruise on Carnival Spirit from Vancouver to Whittier with stops at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway & Sitka. I had a great time with the exception of the dining room food being inedible. Our cruise was made up of a mix of age groups, but primarily seniors.

Don't take a cruise, that is just a small part of Alaska. Fly up and base a few weeks out of Anchorage or Fairbanks and rent a RV or a car and drive around the whole road system. Ask Barkingowl, the drives are worth the money!
