There is so much negative press about the US airline industry, but I though it would be nice to just post a little about some of the good things the airlines are doing for people this holiday season. Several airlines have a Fantasy Flight to the "North Pole" for sick, injured, or poor children that is a really great event for the holiday.
United Airlines had its Fantasy Flights at Los Angeles, Denver, Orlando, and Washington Dulles for children with serious diseases like cancer. At Washington, United pulled a full Boeing 777 international aircraft for the kids. Here is an article from the Washington DC trip to the North Pole:

Continental Airlines had its flight to the North Pole at Cleveland International Airport and had children needing care at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Skywest Airlines, which operates as United Express or Delta Connection, will be having it fantasy flight to the North Pole later this month at Colorado Springs Airport.
