We are planning a trip to W. No. Carolina & Smokey Mountains some time in January, we will be bringing our obedience trained Samoyed with us, (she is 4 and has never seen snow). Does anyone know of any timeshares in that area that will accommodate us. Thank you in advance. kelsie

Most do not accept pets. You might want to check RCI.com and/or call the resort.

Timeshares not only DO NOT accept pets, they will impose a hefty fine and ask you to leave. This applies to RCI - I know because we just reserved our unit and read the rules. I would love to take my doggie, too.

We are with Interval International and there are a few places that DO accept pets. They are very few in number but they are there. Our home resort does not accept pets but the one right next door that is owned by the same group AND is thru Interval does accept small dogs.

You might want to check out VRBO ( vacation rentals by owner). Often times, some of the homes allow you to have pets. We have rented several homes/condos from the site in different areas. We have never had any trouble with anyone we worked with. A lot of times it was cheaper than staying in a hotel.
