Default Dublin_Where to stay? What to do?

We(3 adults, no kids) will be in Dublin in November for 3 days. We will be flying over from Edinburgh. We have no idea where to stay or what to do. We like good food and we appreciate a nice bar/pub. We like seeing the sights, exploring new cities, hiking and biking. We would like to stay in a centrally located nice, clean place, moderately priced. We are also considering driving to the coast for a day, maybe spending the night. We would greatly appreciate any and all suggestions!

Check out the Temple Bar district.

Beautiful

Glendalough
Haunting and atmospheric; I've never seen any place quite like it, I could actually *feel* how ancient it was.

A resource you might find full of info is Trip Advisor. It's the reports of real travelers about their real experiences. This link will open on an overview of Dublin:
Dublin Tourism - Dublin Vacation Reviews - Dublin Vacations - TripAdvisor
In the left column you'll see links for all the info you asked about.
Have fun!

I think there will be no problem for you to get accommodation in a decent hotel, the Westin Dublin and St Stephens Green
