Yep. Did the StarAlliance.

Boston - Honolulu
Honolulu - Nadi, Fiji
Nadi, Fiji - Auckland, New Zealand
Auckland, New Zealand - Christchurch, New Zealand
Christchuch, New Zealand - Sidney, Australia
Sidney, Australia - Hong Kong
Hong Kong - Frankfurt, Germany
Frankfurt, Germany - Boston

I forget the cost. But it was way cheaper than buying the tickets separately. Plus I earned a free ticket for all the miles.

mal, thanks for the info. Was it an all electronic ticket? Were your dates "open", if so did you have problems with availability of flights when you tried to finalize the date during your journey? Any other issues you encountered that you would like to share, would you use the program again?

It was a paper ticket. I'm not sure if it was a rule but I planned the itinerary in advance so I had tickets and seats for each leg of the journey. Any changes were $75 each. I added a leg in New Zealand to take me from Auckland to Christchurch, since I decided that the South Island had more of what I wanted to see (poor planning on my part). There were no problems making that change to my itinerary. I would use the program again. Very good value. It was a three month trip done in 2000, so some rules might be different now. One rule was direction. I had to keep heading in the original westerly direction (NW, SW or W). I can't remember if there was a maximum number of departures/landings I could do.

I didn't encounter any issues with the program. Essentially, I had a bunch of airline tickets issued to me for a good value. Have fun planning.
