Chicago is really a great city to visit outside of winter. It has some of the best museums (Science and Industry is one of the best), a great planetarium, aquarium, Navy Pier, Six Flags (to the north), Cubs and Sox, observatories in the Sears Tower (102nd Floor) and Hancock (98th floor) with great views and a really great Taste festival with top acts that runs the 2 weeks of July 4th. And you do not need to rent a car- public transit is tops.

About the cities in this list, I have seen Dallas, San Antonio and Phoenix .
My preference is for San Antonio, then Dallas and the last Phoenix.

Well, that was easy. I've only ever been to Knoxville. And it was fun; I had excellent tour guides who knew my preference to balance visits to local icons with out-of-the-way places.

For me, it's Atlanta because that is where I grew up! Nothing like being in the south!
I will add that the best city that I have ever been to and just fell in love with is DC!!!!

I know that there are people who do not feel the same way and that is fine, but I love everything that DC has to offer! I honestly would love to move there one day and live on DuPont Circle right in the midst of the action! I love it!!!!

I've only been to 2 cities on your poll list: San Antonio and Dallas. If I had to choose between those 2, I'd go with San Antonio.

For me personally, my faves would be London (for the theater), Edinburgh (for the Military Tattoo), Cairns (for the diving on the Great Barrier Reef), Mont St. Michel (for the abbey and the stunning views at the top), Cairo (for the Pyramids at Giza) and Venice (for the canals). I have to state I am partial to places outside the U.S. as you can tell from my list.

i lived in Knoxville for a while, went to San Antonio once, which was a nightmare, and always called Atlanta my second home when I lived in Tennessee (I used to go down there ALL the time). So, Atlanta.

I love Atlanta. And I go to Knoxville during the summer months to see my family!
