Oh yeah, karayoke will make it all better.

I have some other suggestions:
How about about special rooms for people with small children? See, e.g.
Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport. It's a rare day in Mudville that I offer praise to Russia, but this is way cool. Adult passengers won't have to put up with screaming children so much, kids will have a place to play and pass the time (because trust me, there are few things in the world as loud and destructive as a bored toddler), and parents will find it more comfortable to do diaper changes and maintain their schedules when flights are delayed. The lounge at Sheremetyevo even has cribs, so that children can have their nap times! (By the way: anticipating the objections here, I hasten to add that as a parent of a small child, I would be more than willing to pay to use such a room, if one just were available.)
How about Japanese-style capsule hotels in terminals? Not traditional hotels, but just places to crash for a couple of hours, take a shower and change your clothes? See
Wikipedia article. I understand a lot of people would be put off by the hotel's morgue-like appearance, but a lot of folks (myself included) would appreciate simple accommodations to nap between flights. I would want those hotels to operate on a first-come-first-serve basis at least partially, and to offer as fast a check-in as possible.
