Hi everyone,

I'm getting married in August 2009 and am looking for ideas for a relatively inexpensive/reasonably priced honeymoon. We only have from a Sunday-Saturday (absolute max), so would probably like to stay in the US/Mexico/Carribean. My fiance wants something that isn't super touristy and that has a lot of activities.

Any advice?

Have you considered Bermuda, based on past experience it is a little less touristy then other Caribbean islands. Plus they speak English (not sure if you care) which can be a real help communicating to people. Only downside is the threat of Hurricanes, which most areas around the Gulf have that time of year. If you want to stay in the US you might want to look Savannah/Hilton Head area.

You could spend an intimate week at a dude ranch. There are so many activities to do here, its ridiculous, depending on which dude ranch you chose. The dude ranchers' association is a great place to find one that fits your budget, needs, and wants.

How about a 5 night Cruise? The prices have never been better now. There is night life, shows, food included at a set price. You can leave from Florida, NY,New Orleans or TX.

You may be able to get the cruise for under $1000 for both of you.
